1938 Austin 12/4 Landaulet 'Flashlot' Taxicab
This week I wanted to blog about a new edition to the Kahn showroom in Leeds.
This taxi was speeding around London throughout the war and into the 1950s!
The vehicle has been in a museum in Canada until 1999, then has been on display at the Exmoor Classic Car Museum in Porlock, Somerset, which acquired it in 2002.
So how did it end up in Leeds?
Well, my boss has a love for vehicles and when he saw this in a auction he fell in love!
Finished in blue over black, with leather interior trim and black hood.
I personally love the classic look of this vehicle, complete with luggage, and taxi fare meter. Beautifully British.
