Abraham Moons & Sons

Our in house photographer Graham & I were fortunate enough recently to have a tour of one of our 'bespoke service' suppliers mills.

Here is a sneak peek at Abraham Moons & Sons mill in Guiseley.

Founded in 1837 and with roots in apparel, this local company is a perfect addition to one of Kahn Designs splendid suppliers.

With lots of original machinery still in use, the tour was truly fascinating!

Kahn Design have completed numerous interiors incorporating fabrics and textiles from Moons, and there are some exciting projects in the pipeline (including those recently launched at the Geneva Motor Show).

I plan on doing a special post-Geneva blog next week with all the details of the cars launched and their splendid interiors!

Kahn Owners Rally - Guest Post

This weeks blog post is a guest post from Jessica Jones. Jessica works in our Leeds showroom, in customer relations, marketing and events.

The First Kahn Owners Rally

Last Summer to celebrate the opening of our Leeds showroom, myself and our marketing team decided to go forward with hosting some great local events, the first of which was our Kahn Owners' Rally. This gave our customers a social event to meet and compare the designs of our vehicles, with a personal touch. Our aim was to bring together like-minded enthusiasts in a relaxed environment, with the opportunity to enjoy a country drive.

In the morning the guests gathered at the showroom for tea, coffee and pastries. Many of the guests had not visited the new Leeds showroom so it was nice to catch up with some familiar faces.  After a chat and some refreshments we set off on a beautiful scenic route toward the Yorkshire Dales.

The team were delighted with the weather. This gave us some great opportunities to take some lovely shots of the cars in convoy.

For lunch the final destination was The Devonshire Fell, a lovely little country house situated in the Yorkshire Dales. The venue is located close to Bolton Abbey in Burnsall Village. The scenery is known for being delightful in this part of the country and the views certainly didn’t disappoint.

After lunch we stopped for photographs against the stunning backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales.
We returned to Leeds mid afternoon for light refreshments, and the opportunity to compare vehicles.

This summer we will be looking to host the event on a even bigger scale, with the opportunity for clients to also visit the showroom prior to the start of the Rally. We hope to see you all there, if you would like to get involved email me:

Location Location

With all of the exciting new projects going on at Head Office, sometimes it's nice to get out of the office and appreciate some beautiful surroundings!

This particular location you may recognise if you follow my boss Mr. Kahn on instagram.  This is one of his beautiful properties right here in West Yorkshire.

The location is one of many we are planning to use for some lifestyle photographs we will be taking early 2015.  The lifestyle shoots will be introducing new products such as time pieces, clothing, accessories and more to the Kahn Lifestyle Brand, A. Kahn Design,

This is my favourite shot.  The beautiful autumnal weather is the perfect scene for this luxurious Range Rover RS600.

Moda UK 2014

This week saw Spring Summer 15 Collections from around the world showcase at the NEC Birmingham for the Moda UK Exhibition. I have to say I loved every moment of Moda, the NEC is a huge venue, and  cleverly divided into easy to navigate sections!

The only negative I could say about Moda is I get a huge urge to revamp my wardrobe and go on a huge shopping spree the minute I wander round!

The highlights of my time were the stands! I felt they were laid out better than PURE London, and the exhibitors were so friendly and helpful! The staff at Moda were very attentive, giving out guides, advice and just in general being very friendly! However, I will give PURE the fact that the seminars and catwalks were slightly more interesting and had a bigger variety!

I can't go in to too much detail about my buying experience at Moda but I can say we made some valuable contacts and will be ordering some amazing products!
I have been ordering samples, organising meetings & designing since I have been back in the office and the ideas for the new collection are so fantastic I could burst!
You can follow my blog and get sneak peeks into these new products as the weeks go on!

Hilton Birmingham Metropole Reception
During my time at the exhibition I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole! I was quite dubious when I first pulled up outside of the hotel its exterior is very tired. I was soon proven wrong as the interior and the helpful staff changed my mind immediately!

The entrance hall is lovely and spacious with lots of staff which was great for a quick check in.  My room was lovely, just a standard room but I was impressed with it as I have stayed in some Hiltons and they have been really dated! My room was exactly like the one on the website.  The room was modern, spacious, comfy & had all the amenities I needed for a lovely stay!

I ate at the hotel one evening and again as far as hotel food goes I was pretty pleased, after eating at the NEC I was in need of something nice & the chicken thai green curry was lush!
The room rate was cheap due to the event being on so I would highly recommend anyone who was wanting to visit the NEC or the LG arena to stay here especially if there was a deal on!
