Geneva 2015

The Kahn group have just exhibited for their third time at the Geneva Motor Show, and its safe to say it has been the best year yet...

I wanted to do a blog post to show the Kahn team in Switzerland hard at work at the biggest automotive event of the year!

Geneva begins for us months ahead of the show, so here is a photo diary of my Geneva experience.

The majority of the pictures in this blog have been used on our social media pages, so for updates on all things 'Kahn' take a look and follow these accounts on instagram:

Once we were open for business, we began each morning with a team meeting.

There was a lot of press interest due to the unveiling of our new coach built 6x6, the 'Flying Huntsman'.

Along with all the press interest, we also had a camera crew following our every move... all will be revealed soon enough!

The evenings were a time for everyone to relax and spend some down time together, we were very fortunate to have some beautiful accommodation situated by the Swiss Alps.

The cars we exhibited were all 'Volcanic Rock'.  This has been the most desired paint finish for the brand in the past few months.

There are more images of the vehicles we exhibited on the website, the majority can also be found on all our social media outputs.

Graham our photographer took some beautiful images not just of our cars, but other vehicles being exhibited.
For example this lovely McLaren...

Kahn Owners Rally - Guest Post

This weeks blog post is a guest post from Jessica Jones. Jessica works in our Leeds showroom, in customer relations, marketing and events.

The First Kahn Owners Rally

Last Summer to celebrate the opening of our Leeds showroom, myself and our marketing team decided to go forward with hosting some great local events, the first of which was our Kahn Owners' Rally. This gave our customers a social event to meet and compare the designs of our vehicles, with a personal touch. Our aim was to bring together like-minded enthusiasts in a relaxed environment, with the opportunity to enjoy a country drive.

In the morning the guests gathered at the showroom for tea, coffee and pastries. Many of the guests had not visited the new Leeds showroom so it was nice to catch up with some familiar faces.  After a chat and some refreshments we set off on a beautiful scenic route toward the Yorkshire Dales.

The team were delighted with the weather. This gave us some great opportunities to take some lovely shots of the cars in convoy.

For lunch the final destination was The Devonshire Fell, a lovely little country house situated in the Yorkshire Dales. The venue is located close to Bolton Abbey in Burnsall Village. The scenery is known for being delightful in this part of the country and the views certainly didn’t disappoint.

After lunch we stopped for photographs against the stunning backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales.
We returned to Leeds mid afternoon for light refreshments, and the opportunity to compare vehicles.

This summer we will be looking to host the event on a even bigger scale, with the opportunity for clients to also visit the showroom prior to the start of the Rally. We hope to see you all there, if you would like to get involved email me:

Retro

At Kahn Design we are always looking at new beautiful fabrics for lifestyle products and unique interiors.

This is a seat that we created with a retro feel with great British roots.

The trim is 100% British Wool from a local supplier, Abraham Moons. The trim has a natural base colour, with aqua blue & burnt orange flashes.

Abraham Moons is one of the leading suppliers of luxurious British wool based fabrics in the UK and beyond. We have some exciting projects coming up with Moons and if you follow the blog you can keep updated easily.

The leather used for  these seats is a beautiful Scottish hide. This particular leather boasts a metallic finish and would make a rare and eye- catching addition to any cherished vehicle.

The seat possesses Kahn Designs most desirable interior trim, the diamond quilting.

The next blog will be a behind the scenes shoot.

London Fashion Weekend

So what can you expect from London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House...
I attended the event on Thursday and Friday last week.  I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of pop up shops at the event. The tickets I had got me a goody bag, seats at one trend show, which this year was put on by the Outnet.com, sister of net-a-porter.  Seats at a designer show, Thursday was Amanda Wakeley, Friday being the fantastic duo Fyodor Golan.  The event is full of fashionistas, bloggers, shoppers & press all there to get a taster of London Fashion Week.  There is so many stalls, from champagne to shoes they have it all!
Something I really liked was the varied boutiques, unique boutiques that you will have seen on ASOS Market place to Vivienne Westwood & Robert Cavalli. The discounts available at these boutiques is amazing! I would recommend anyone attending, the prices for tickets do vary so if you just fancy a shop the event would be for you!

I took some photos at the event to show everyone what you can expect from London Fashion Weekend brought to you by Vodafone. What trends are coming up, and my experience...

My beauty favourites that saved me through out LFWend.
Benefit Dallas Blusher,  Laura Mercier brow pencil/brush, Estée Lauder Double wear foundation & Jo Malone Nutmeg & Ginger.

Seamans Hall is where you go to collect your goodie bags.
This years bags had items from Garnier, Maybelline, Essie & more. It all comes in a special edition Lulu Guinness Tote.

Beautiful boutiques in Somerset House.

I really loved the Maybelline pop up shop, offering any 3 products for £12, 2 products for £10.
They also had a St.Tropez shop offering discount products and catwalk tans for very little.

I'm going to be putting some images from Amanda Wakeley and Fyodor Golan on the blog this week.
They are from the new spring summer 15 collections and are not to be missed...
